If you can't make it to North Raleigh for live comedy, we've got a few sample videos for you here.
First a few long forms and then a few examples of various short forms. This page is for some of our favorite clips, and from time to time we'll rotate them.
You can always see a bigger selection of old and new clips on our MySpaceTV channel.
Long form
| Monoscene C.K. and Willie are two friends that have bowled together since high school. The last time we checked in with them was when Willie's sister Peg and their friend Laurie were in town for the guys' high school reunion, 18 months ago. That weekend, Peg and C.K. got enaged. Time has passed, they're married now, and Peg wants to take the next step. Join C.K. and Willie as they bowl a few frames and discuss adoption in the latest chapter of the ongoing story of The AlleyKatz. ![]() |

| Cut-to Montage
and Monoscene For Act II of the February 23 show we had planned a little montage scene following a narrative and a separate monoscene about a support group. Halfway through the montage, a topic was raised that inspired us to the point where rather than solicit a suggestion for the monoscene, we just explored the topic. And so we present our exploration of two topics that we all deal with daily - "Why do men leave the toilet seat up?" and adults who still use their baby blankets. |

| Montage
(part 1) There are many types of montage formats, here's one we made up. We started with the suggestion of something you once assumed which was wrong (in this case the suggestion was "Santa was real) and then we do a true monologue based on that suggestion. Following the monologue we act out the true story, with embellishments. This is followed by a scene or two inspired by the re-enactment. Then another true monologue, and so on. |

Short Form - scenes without gimmicks
| Two-person scene Two actors improvise a scene from the suggestion of mother-in-law. No game, no rules, no guidance, just a scene based on a suggestion. ![]() |

| Three-person
scene Three actors improvise a scene from the suggestion of "drinking milk out of the carton." Again, no games or rules, just a scene. Although, improvisors will see that "a game" quickly developed within the scene. |

Short Form - gimmick scenes
| Shakespeare
Scene "What if Shakespeare wrote a play about <blank>?" On June 12, 2008, the audience suggested "Sanitation Engineer" to fill in that blank. Here's what happened. |

| Revolving
Doors A game in which each player must enter/exit when his word is used. From the suggestion of "chocolate cow" we enter the world of edible art. (Please note, we do try to educate our audience on the difference between adverbs and adjectives.) ![]() |

| Place, Occupation,

|
|
| Ding Did you ever wish you could take back what you just said? Watch as Romni and Brian improvise a scene about a cat owner who needs some help, while Matthew rings a bell causing them to make a new choice and change their last line of dialog. |

|
| Sounds
Like a Song Cue Continuing in the theme of one Idiot abusing others, John forces Wade and Brian to create songs based on their improvised dialog in this scene about two video-playing friends that have to grow up when marriage rears its head. |
|
|
| Questions
Only Romni recently had a conversation with an improvisor who was adament that you can't ask questions in improv. To prove her postion, Romni challenged Mikey and Matthew to perform a scene using questions only in this scene about two friends and a soccer game. |
